ONLINE MONEY MAKING MADE EASY

I received an interesting email today, which I feel requires a response that many of you would benefit from.

Without revealing the name of the person that sent it to me, the email basically states the following:

"I am searching opportunity to make money on net. At present I am trying to create a blog, but not taken the decision what blog I have to create for earning huge money. Please advice me in that regard."

It goes on to state:

"I am starting an online business from home, but I don't know what to start. Please help me to start and earn money. Eagerly seeing your email. Thank you"

These are the feelings of someone that is well aware that the internet provides the answer to making the living that they desire, but is simply bogged down by all the information that is available to them online.

I know that feeling. There are so many opportunities online, that deciding which one to pursue is very difficult indeed.

However I feel that the right way to start is by firstly choosing a target market to pursue.

This should be a market that gets searches online but is less popular than simply "make money online"

If it was "make money online from blogging" you can see that is becoming more "niche", or to put it another way it is more focused on a particular subset of the main subject.

However, there are many other target markets out there to choose from, and simply going for the "make money online" target market may not be right for you.

You should start by choosing a target market of interest to you. If you are interested in a particular sport, then you could setup a blog where you write about that sport.

(I do believe that a blog is the best way to start, and is possibly even better than starting your own website, early on at least!)

It may not be a sport that you are interested in. You may be interested in cooking or holiday destinations or WHATEVER!

Regardless of what your main interest is, you will be able to write a blog about that interest, and then keep that blog updated with regular posts.

These regular posts will enable you to link out (through affiliate links!) to items for sale on other websites.

You can then make money if anyone purchases something on that other site, provided they got there through your unique affiliate link.

Amazon has one of the oldest and most respected affiliate schemes available, that you can setup to run on your blog.

I myself continue to test different setting for the Amazon affiliate scheme and I am quite happy with some of the tools provided by them.

You can setup your blog to display a product direct from Amazon within the actual blog post, so that if someone buys the item, you make the commission.

You could alternatively simply setup your blog so that it includes different widgets in the blogs sidebars, and shows the Amazon products in scrolling slideshows.

All these different widgets provided By Amazon create wonderful ways of advertising the products, and if used correctly can increase the sales (and therefore the commissions) you make.

For using Amazon widgets, I would have to recommend setting up a blogger blog (aka BlogSpot)

Frankly more and more I am beginning to feel that blogger is the way to go in terms of which blog to setup.

It makes the placement of affiliate products a breeze, it is extremely customizable, and it gets huge amounts of visitors per day.

I now recommend blogger even more than setting up a wordpress blog (but there is no reason not to setup wordpress blogs in addition to blogger, so that you get the best of both worlds!)

My YouTube videos show me explaining some of the features of blogs that I like, and may be of help to you when setting up a blog.

Of course there are many different types of affiliate programs you can use to make money online with. You do not just have to stick with Amazon (whose commissions can be quite low!)

Click bank is a wonderful place to find products to recommend, and the commissions available from Clickbank can be as high as 75% of the sale price!

Cbproads is one way of creating adjustable widgets for advertising Clickbank products for advertisement on your blog, as my YouTube videos will show!

Another alternative for finding products to be an affiliate of, is simply to enter your interest into Google followed by the word "affiliate" and this will show you affiliate schemes you can join that match your interest.

Once you have chosen your market, setup your blog, and created the affiliate links within that blog, all you then need to do is get links back to your blog in order to get traffic to that blog and move it higher in the search engines.

The higher your blog gets in the search engines, the more visitors you will get, and these will be more people that can click upon your affiliate links.

You should ideally get links to your blog that include suitable anchor text. In other words, if your blog is about windows vista guides or help books, then you should try and actually have links to your blog that use the words "windows vista guides" or "windows vista help books" as the text that is linked to your blog.

You can usually use this type of link text (aka anchor text) in Ezinearticles, press releases, forums, Classified ads and blog comments, amongst other places.

The only thing to be careful of with blog comments is that your post may be misconstrued as a spam post if you are not careful with your actual comment.

Read the comment rules (if any) before you post your comment, or see what the other comments look like to see if they have been approved with anchor text rather than names before you post.

If you can search for blogs in Google that are "dofollow" (this is simply where the link back to your blog will be considered of higher value to Google than any other link) that match your chosen interest, which is going to become your chosen target market.

You can also get links and traffic from all the popular social bookmarking and web 2.0 sites that exist online today. These types of links really boost your blog up in the search engines, which in turn gets you the visitors and the all important clicks upon your affiliate links!

A very useful and overlooked technique that you should use is grabbing traffic from eBay. You can easily list items on eBay for free (provided they are for less than a dollar and you can only list upto 100 per month) and then link from the listing to your eBay "about me" page. If you do not have an eBay about me page, they are where you advertise yourself and your blog. You can even place multiple links from that about me page to places that can make you money.

You can place images on there as well as text, and many people go to great detail to make their about me page very attractive to encourage people over to their blogs. Some have even placed affiliate links directly on the about me page itself, but I would not recommend this as it only takes one complaint, and eBay will remove your about me page for you!

Do not for get the power of video, and make sure you use YouTube (amongst other video sites) to advertise your blog and link back to your blog with your videos.

Finally it may be wrong to expect to earn huge money too soon. It is going to take time to get some money rolling in, and you will have to be patient whilst you wait to get the traffic you need to your blog.

Once your blog starts to rise up in the search engines ranking you will see a greater number of visitors, and then in turn will see a greater number of clicks upon your affiliate links.

In all honesty, there is so much to explain that this email could possible go on for a great deal longer, and still not show you the things that really make the difference.

Luckily, the YouTube videos I mentioned earlier do a better job of showing the things that matter, than I am doing here!

The YouTube videos are constantly being added to, and even in the next few days there will be more content posted there. The truly great thing about my YouTube videos is that it shows all the mistakes that I have made!

You can see that even though I am getting more and more traffic through the search engines, I am still testing different things to improve my business, and I am still making up for previous mistakes that have been visible to searchers since I first made them.

Seeing the mistakes that other people have made can be very encouraging when you are struggling yourself, so for someone that just does not know where to start I would definitely say that they should watch my YouTube videos so that they can see all my mistakes highlighted, and then take encouragement from them.

 I have just read a really confusing report on LSI (latent semantic indexing) which has left me with more questions than it answered. If truth be known the report was well written and well presented, but the actual subject matter is such that it is no wonder that many of us feel like giving up on it and doing something else. Anything else!

After I had made my way through the report, and followed the steps within it, I was left with my list of potential keywords with which I was supposed to be able to build my fantastic site that could crush the opposition (if the hype regarding the service the company offers is to be believed)

It was at this stage that I wondered what came next. I had a list of thousands of keywords and keyword phrases, many of which were completely unrelated to the topic of my website, and would be frankly deceptive if I used them on any of my pages.

Of course as the report states, you are supposed to weed out the ones that are completely useless to you, so that you are left with the ones that can be used. Then came the next big problem in my mind.

Which of all the possibly useful and just about related keywords and keyword phrases should I actually use? It was at this stage that I was reminded of a different report on SEO (search engine optimization) that stated that you would have more success targeting those keywords that are not massively competitive.

That made sense to me at the time, because it would be crazy to expect a new site to be able to compete against the big boys for a popular keyword phrase. It was impossible for me to compete on keywords in the "make money online" areas. Well it was for the most popular keywords within that are, at least.

That first report on SEO stated something really interesting to me. It mentioned that keyword density on a webpage is of little importance in reality, because the internet is a popularity contest. Your position in the search engine rankings depends entirely on who links to you.

The test the SEO report said to do was pretty simple. Just type the words "click here", without the quotes, into Google. As it was then, the top result returned is adobe. If keywords really were that important, then why would a website like adobe be the top result returned for a search of the keyword phrase click here?

The keyword phrase click here does not (and did not) even appear on the adobe home page. Like the report on SEO stated, the keywords on the page were not the deciding factor, it was the number of incoming links to the adobe website with the anchor text click here.

Anchor text is the actual clickable words in any link. That is why you will often see actual words for a link, rather than the web address as a link. Anchor text is what’s important.

So what does any of this have to do with the report I was reading on LSI? Well, nothing apart from the fact that I was beginning to suspect that LSI would be a waste of my time, just as big a waste of my time as worrying over keyword density on my WebPages.

If it is the number of incoming links with specific anchor texts that decides a websites position in the search engine rankings, then surely LSI is a complete waste of everybody's time, and the only thing any of us should be doing is building links, and to hell with the rest of it!

I still had a window open with one of the websites on it that was returned from my LSI research. It was Martin Lewis's Moneysavingexpert.com website. I was interested to take a quick look which keywords he was targeting on this site.

I should just point out at this stage that his website was the third result returned for a keyword search of "money", without the quotes, on the Google.com website (the first two being CNN and Wikipedia)

Amazingly these are the keywords on his home page "martin, lewis,apr,compare, moneyexpert".

Is it not strange that the keyword money is not targeted, yet this result is returned so high up in the search engine rankings for a search of that keyword?

When I checked his Alexa statistics all became clear. He has over 1,600 links to his site, and you can bet your bottom dollar that most of those links use the word "money" as the anchor text within the link to the site!

That is why I now feel that all the time spent trying to learn Latent semantic analysis, to give it its other name, is a complete waste of time, and the only thing that anyone should be doing is building up a vast amount of incoming links, and if anyone questions you about SEO and LSI you should tell them to go F6%K themselves!

You can create a free money making blog, on some of the worlds most visited websites to get loads of traffic to any affiliate links you create. It won’t cost you a penny, as these sites actually want your content to further their positions on the world rankings, and to maintain their current position.

Here are some worthy places I suggest you look to place your content:

Blogger.com - 7 worldwide traffic rank, 10 US traffic rank
Wordpress.com - 17 worldwide traffic rank, 19 US traffic rank
Hubpages.com - 230 worldwide traffic rank, 130 US traffic rank
Squidoo.com - 238 worldwide traffic rank, 110 US traffic rank

(Pretty impressive figures when you consider these are the best of every site currently in existence)

All above are free for you to setup and start advertising your affiliate products, or anything else for that matter.

A quick word about your blog name (titles).

Whatever you choose to setup, you should pick carefully what name you are going to use for the name of your blog. The name will be a keyword phrase that people will find every time that they search in Google for something.

Clearly there are certain searches that are extremely competitive.

For example the keyword phrase "make money online" has been searched for 2804 times according to wordtracker.com free keyword tool. This equates to 193,000,000 resulting page matches for a basic Google search and 14,500,000 resulting page matches for an exact Google search.

(An exact search gets Google to only show results that has those exact words in that exact order. Do an exact search by putting the " quotation marks either ends of your search terms)

This as you can see would be an extreme amount of competition to be up against, and any new site would be crazy to think they could get to the top of the Google results for a search like that.

If you go for a title with a keyword phrase that gets searched much less often, then there will be less competition in the rankings, as the big boys tend to stay away from these less searched for words.

For example the keyword phrase "ways to make money online" has been searched for 510 times according to wordtracker.com free keyword tool. This equates to 71,100,000 resulting page matches for a basic Google search and 766,000 resulting page matches for an exact Google search.

Yes that’s still a lot of competition to be up against, but you can see that we are now moving in the right direction. We have cut down on the amount of competition by at least half.

In other words if you choose a blog name which is a keyword phrase that gets less searches per month, you will have less competing web pages against you, and you can get your blog into the top ten results of Google’s list.

Do your own research on the keyword searches you are interested in, then you can get your free blog setup and start making money with it.

Before you make your final decision on the keyword phrase/blog name you want, here is one last consideration for you.

What are the top results in Google’s list for the keyword phrase you are thinking of using?

If the top results are things like Youtube videos and Ezinearticles, don’t you think you could create a video and write an article with that keyword phrase in it, so that you can then knock the top result out of the way?

Your Ezinearticle and Youtube video will have a link back to your blog - that’s what will help get it even higher!

Once you have done that you can move your blog higher up the results and get it making money for you.

This is the last of the viral marketing steps we should quickly look at, and we will be moving onto other areas in future,

A marketing EBook differs from an ordinary EBook. An ordinary eBook may simply contain text and instructions how to do something, whereas a marketing eBook will contain what is known as "a call to action".

Marketing EBooks still contain text, pictures, links to website pages and everything that an ordinary eBook contains, but they also encourage the eBook reader to visit a website and make further purchases or other actions that benefit the eBook creator.

You will have to make your EBook both interesting and educational to the reader. It will always have a link back to your web site and to any sale page that you want to help advertise.

Then you will want to be certain that the eBook advertises the fact that the reader is free to sell or give your EBook away to others if they wish. Give them free rights to do whatever they wish to do with it (apart from edit the contents and links to your pages)

This will encourage the spread of your eBook as others will be keen to have something they can use for free on their own websites. Just make sure that everything within your eBook is the way you want it to be, and make sure that everything is spelled correctly.

Any errors within the eBook will reflect badly on you when the eBook is spread around with your mistakes obvious to all.

Finally get your eBook submitted to as many of the E-book directories as you are able to. Most will let you post your eBook for free, or instead they will let you post a link from their site directly to your E-book.

This is the last of the viral marketing posts for now, as I think we have covered all we need to, and we can now move on to other areas in future.

There are Some EBooks that combine very well with affiliate programs.

If you create an eBook that an affiliate can benefit from by allowing them to rebrand certain links within it, they are even more likely to want to share it with others, as all this extra spread of the eBook increases the chance that someone will make a purchase through their rebranded affiliate link.

The benefit to them is a greater chance of making a sale, and the benefit to you is increased website traffic as more and more people will be clicking through to your site either when purchasing through the affiliate link or from a simple link to your sign up page.

Make sure that you make any instructions within your eBook as simple to follow as you possibly can, because you don’t want a potential affiliate to lose interest in your product.

Remember, people tend to have short attention spans, and will quickly give up and go and search elsewhere if your eBook includes too many links. You only really want links to your email sign up, a link to your products page and one for the rebranding package.

When your eBook is ready for sharing simply go to an affiliate program, approach them with your idea and see if they will accept it (it has to be an original product you created or had created and not one you made up from the purchase of plr products).

Viral marketing with the use EBooks is one of many techniques that when combined with others all have an effect in attracting new visitors, customers and subscribers to your business.

You can be sure that the visitors are targeted visitors to your website as they have already expressed an interest in your particular niche by following the links within the eBook.

This is an extremely good and efficient way of increasing sales, subscribers and referrals because most of the work is being done for you by the affiliates that sign up and wish to encourage the spread of the eBook.

The current powerful weapon in the arsenal of the marketers searching for free traffic is tagging, which is also known as folksonomy, to give it the posh title. Folksonomy is the abbreviated term for folks and taxonomy.

A Folksonomy allows people to post content they like under tags and also, something that is really good, to share it with other people. Let’s take a quick look at how all this works (its really quite simple and it would be wrong to allow the name to put you off)

You simply Use websites like del.icio.us, which is a bookmark sharing website and Flickr, which is a picture sharing site. The users there will place the content into appropriate categories by using keywords, or tags.

So let’s just say that someone posts a photograph of their iPhone on Flickr and then files it under the tag "iPhone." This picture will be seen by the entire community. Anyone who searches for iphone will be able to see this and any other picture that has been labelled with the iphone tag.

On Flickr at the moment there will be huge numbers of pictures that have been labelled "iPhone." The reason that tagging has caught on se well is because it naturally compliments traditional search methods.

If you were to type "blogs" into a search engine like Google, it would return all sorts of information as it does not know if you are searching to find out how to go about creating a blog, where to find a blog to read or anything else for that matter.

No matter what the size of your website, you could benefit by getting involved with folksonomy. They are making it easier and easier to get involved with folksonomy in order to help users better find the type of content they most want.

Everyone should consider using them to keep up to date with what is happening in the world of marketing. If you subscribed to RSS feeds you could monitor how consumers tag information that relates to your niche.

The best part is this is all free. Folksonomy websites can be used to carefully release a viral marketing campaign, but a marketer must ensure they make it perfectly clear both who they are and for what reason they are posting the link or picture, so that they will not be accused of spamming the services.

4. An ebook will help to improve your online credibility and reputation. It is effectively a recommendation from others if they share your ebook with their friends, and this can only be good for you in getting the word out about your online business.

Viral marketing has become much more acceptable over time.

The internet is now considered the medium where campaigns are launched to create a "buzz" effect before the campaign moves to TV and printed material.

It is all part of business, and is in fact a huge part!

Then you need to make your potential subscriber aware of the fact that there are many benefits to remaining on your list, as you would not want to risk them unsubscribing.

For example you could offer coupons or discounts that are only available to members on your email subscriber list.

MARKETING EBOOKS: FREE DOWNLOADS AND ONLINE MONEY MAKING INFORMATION

 Recent studies have shown that nearly 90% of adult Internet users in the USA share content with other people by email.

Today I wanted to mention the power of ebay in regards to making money online. Everyone writes about ebay, and how to make money on it, but no one seems to writing about the many tips and tricks you might be missing out on.

You should be setting up "about me pages" which are a great place to advertise your own website, plus affiliate links, and advertisements for all sorts of things that can be making you money.

Even in your ebay listings you can include great looking flashing banners (just remove the web address link) or videos which advertise your products or other sites which ebay normally wouldn’t let you advertise with a link.

The reason for removing the link from you banners in your listing is that ebay usually removes listings with links to sites that don’t have any more information on the product your listing is supposed to be about.

If you put the link to your "about me" ebay page, and then on that page put the banner again with the real link, you have just found a great way to advertise your listing.

You can make a video just using lots of photos, if you want, and some of these photos can be simply your web address, or if you have good enough software, you can have your web address all along the bottom of the video, for people to search for.

For now I will just want you to look at those two banners beneath this text post, that I know you would want to click on (but you will not be able to, because I will remove the web address link)

Due to the fact that sex sells on the internet, there will likely be many who wanted to click on those two banners because of the pretty girls in them. This is a tactic you should use in your ebay listings.

Meta tags are used by the search engines to display sites related to the searches people perform, and you really need to try and manipulate the search engine results with your keywords.

3. Keywords and content

If you can write articles (or acquire them, somehow) related to your site subject, then you will find you can get a greater number of website traffic. You should try keyword suggestion tools like Overture, to improve your site keywords, which in turn will lead to greater site traffic. If you provide really good, interesting information you will find you get repeated site visits, and these repeat visitors will become repeat site customers.

As I have stated before, in these types of articles you should maintain your resource box at the bottom of the article, in order to maintain your link, which when copied will become an increasing number of backlinks.

If you try these methods (and succeed in doing them properly) you should quickly find that you get the traffic (and customers!) you crave for!

If there is human interest in your article, This will increase the chances of getting traffic to your site.

If you can, you really should consider setting up your own newsletter. Again, with this newsletter you can start to increase your web traffic, as your subscribers are already interest in you and keen to see the other sites you have (and therefore more likely to buy from you as they start to trust you).

Of course, one problem with having your own newsletter (which is hopefully growing in popularity), is that you will need to create new articles and news items to distribute to your subscribers each week (or month). It is then that you will probably have to employ writers on your behalf to create these articles, and keep your newsletter in business.
